ARE YOU TRAINING HARD OR OVER-TRAINING? The 🔑key to knowing the difference is critical to your athletic performance, not to mention general enjoyment of sport and even daily life. Sometimes less is more. Having proper time to rest and recuperate from those hard workouts is part of the training process which allows us to keep intensity levels high, rebuild/repair tissues, restore our nervous system, and avoid injury👍🏻Generally speaking, the harder/more intensely you train, the more time you need to recover. I know that if i do more than 4 days of CrossFit per week, I can't keep fresh and injury free👌It depends on factors such as age, experience with training, 🙏intensity levels, and lifestyle. What is the best way to know if overtraining? (cliche coming)… listen to you body! Some signs of overtraining are decreases/plateaus in performance, insomnia, getting sick often, irritability, lack of focus/being foggy, feeling run down, and not feeling excited about workouts😔.Ways to avoid it? Getting proper sleep, massage, good nutrition, and of course, days off. You won't lose all you gains by taking an extra day off per week - I promise! In fact, you may likely see some gains 💪How do you know if YOU are overtraining?😁
