I’ve never been a deadlift guy. Truthfully, I really wouldn’t say I am quite there yet either. I really do enjoy doing them though. I like doing them in provide which is why I purchased some weights for the garage. . Well the day has finally arrived. I am #liftingalltheweights I have no more weights to lift. It’s only 295lbs. This is a heavy lift for me and I could not be happier. I have been working on my form diligently and even changed to a double overhand grip which feels more natural. . I am using straps. I feel more comfortable that way and I gave up on using a belt at this point. It was just too uncomfortable; maybe because of my belly, ha. . Last week I posted about a product I use and talked about its benefits. 🔻 That product is Microfactor💊 🔻 Today, I’d like to discuss the importance of taking a multivitamin. 🔻 Vitamins and minerals are required by the body in minuscule amounts. Otherwise, deficiencies can occur. 🔻 Some vitamins can be synthesized by the body while others have to be provided via nutrients. 🔻 Minerals, on the other hand, have to be provided solely through diet. Plant and animal products, for example, are ways to supply the body with minerals. 🔻 Within the minerals category are macronutrients and micronutrients. 🔻 Macronutrients such as magnesium, sulfur, and electrolytes all have specific roles in the body. 🔻 Micronutrients are needed in trace amounts, but that doesn’t mean they should be overlooked. 🔻 Iron is a micronutrient. Although only trace amounts are needed, about 1.6 billion people have iron deficiencies. 🔻 The good news is that you can avoid any hiccups when it comes to fulfilling micronutrient needs. 🔻 For example, you can: -eat clay -cook with cast iron cookware -eat a nutrient-rich diet 🔻 A guaranteed way to fulfill the recommended daily need is to take a multivitamin. I for one will not get ALL the micronutrients through my diet 🤷🏼‍♀️ and I’m certainly not eating clay. 🔻 While whole food choices are always best, some things should be left to supplementation. 🔻 So, in short, vitamins and minerals help build the foundation of our body and should not be underestimated or neglected. 🔻 #iam1stphorm #1stphormathletesearch

Some days God is going to test you. Woke up this morning with TGIF on my mind. Started my day doctoring a heifer with pink eye, spent 3 hours on a prolapsed heifer, pulled a calf out of 1st time calver who got knocked up a little early, and was paged to a fire, all while my boss is home with the stomach flu. That's life. You're GOING to have bad days, but the people who succeed, are the ones that find the positive things throughout the day. Sure it was long and stressful day at the office , but there is new life on the earth today, and that's a wonderful thing! Huge shoutout to my client alli_crossfitmom on her amazing progress with me within the last 2 months. She is down 12lbs but her weight loss doesn’t even come close to showing the amazing transformation she has made. • Allison came to me wanting to not only lose some weight but also to improve her relationship with food.
