Berry Good Overnight Oats! I used steel cut oats because it was what I had in my kitchen so the texture is different then your average overnight oats, but I liked the change. And I LOVE not having to make breakfast in the morning 😻 -1 large banana (mashed) -1/4 cup steel cut oats -1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk •combine everything above, then layer pat mixture, raspberries, and blueberries •top with more berries and chia seeds •refrigerate for six or more hours 😋

The other day, as I was doing my usual EXTREME CAUTION food prep in the kitchen, trying to keep bits of dairy residue from getting on anything that Jillian might touch, it dawned on me... I've been doing the same tricks for over 10 years to keep her safe in the kitchen, and they're so routine now I don't even think twice. But many new #allergyparents are probably struggling and STRESSED out in the kitchen! I know I was when we first got the diagnosis!!! So I put together 9 of my best kitchen tips for keeping kids with #foodallergies safe in the kitchen. They're up on the blog today, and you can find the direct link in my bio. . 💚VEGAN SEEKH KEBABS 💚 A great video from Charlie at veganpugfoodvideos Do these look devine!! 💚💚💚💚💚 INGREDIENTS... 🌱2 medium potatoes ( 2 cups) dice small and steam for 12 mins. Don't boil them because you need all of the starch from the potatoes to glue everything together. 🌱1.5 cups of kidney beans. 🌱1/2 cup of Besan flour, roast the flour in medium heat. Keep stirring and add 🌱2 tsp of garlic powder, 🌱2 tsp of coriander powder, 🌱2 tsp of smoked paprika, 🌱2tsp of cumin powder. Roast all of the spice together with Besan flour for about 4-5 mins. This really enhances the flavor of Besan. It's makes a huge difference when you roast it before use. Set aside. 🌱1 cup of mushroom(cook until nicely brown and all of its liquid are gone) 🌱1/4 cup of carrots (cook until soft) 🌱1 large onion( cook until soft and translucent) 🌱1/2 cup of celery ( cook to remove all of its liquid) 🌱2 tsp of Sumac 🌱2-3 tbsp of fresh mint (fine chop) 🌱1/2 cup of chopped toasted pumpkin seeds 🌱 2-3 tsp of sea salt 🌱chili powder(optional) 💚💚💚💚💚 Mash potatoes and kidney beans together. Give it a good mash. Add all of the ingredients and form to Seekh kabobs shape onto bamboo skewers. Pan fry with 1-2 tbsp of oil in medium heat. Cook 8 minutes per side. You can use cashew nuts or any type of nut that you like. I'm just happened to have this in hand for the day. I was going to use meatless crumble but I just want to give fake meat a little break and decided to go with beans instead. Next time I will add quinoa to the mix for more texture. Summer is quickly approaching ☀️ so it's time to bring back the smoothie bowls! 😋 🍌Banana Almond Butter Bowl 🍌 1 ripe frozen banana 1 tbsp of almond butter 1/4 cup of toasted unsweetened coconut almond milk ( califia) Top with nuts, seeds, fresh berries, almond butter, coconut or whatever you like Man oh man this was heavenly. 💕🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸 Toss a frozen banana, a few ice cubes, 1 tbsp of almond butter and 1/4 cup of toasted coconut almond milk in the nutribullet or blender and blend just until blended (don't let it get too thin). Put in the freezer for 10 minutes, every few minutes mix to make sure it's freezing evenly. In the meantime get your toppings ready.
