THIS SKIRT FITS AGAIN 😭! It had gotten so tight I couldn't button it and I haven't tried it on in about 6 months because I've been too scared. I actually thought it wouldn't fit and was in the mood for some good old fashioned mood crushing self sabotage 😂 and decided to try it on, and was shocked to find that it fit. When it was too tight I was hitting the gym 6x week (complete with HIIT cardio and lifting), walking ~8 miles/day, eating a HCLF vegan diet, and just generally doing everything "right". But I was also stressed tf out and was eating foods my body didn't tolerate, but I thought it was normal to instantly bloat, have gas, diarrhea, stomach pain, etc. UM YA YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THAT. Now I still go to the gym but the gym revolves around my life--my life doesn't revolve around the gym. If one week I have time to go 5x week then I do that. This month I've had time to go maybe 2x week. So I do that. Sometimes I lift, sometimes I do HIIT, sometimes I do a 25 min Pilates video on YouTube in my bedroom. I've tried incorporating more movement when I can remember to do so--if I'm studying all day I'll get up every hour or so and do 10 each of squats, side leg lifts, donkey kicks, push ups, and jump squats. No more craziness over the gym. I wanted to go today and felt like I "should" go today, but between laundry, cooking, homework, and work, I ran out of time. It's not even a big deal anymore, but this would have been THE END of the world before. Crazy how things change 🤷🏻‍♀️

I pulled a beef heart out of the freezer a couple days ago with the intention of making my Hearty Beef Soup. . This morning I loaded the slow cooker and let it do the rest of the work for me! Dinner will be ready to serve as soon as The Mister walks in (read: in, like, five minutes). These last three hours have been chaotic (putting it nicely) with new curriculum training at her school and getting to guitar class (late, UGH). I'm glad I don't have to think about dinner. . Hopdoddy's has gotten so much better about accommodating allergies. I get the kale salad, no cheese and no dressing. Then I top it with a bison patty and ask for bacon and extra avocado. This greatness doesn't really need dressing but sometimes I bring my own "safe" avocado dressing because you can never have too much avo on a salad.

Obsessed with this lamb 😍! Lamb shanks, honey, saffron, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, garlic, salt, some broth. All thrown in the Instantpot for 35 min, then lamb removed and sauce sautéed (in pot) for ~20 min to thicken (sauce not pictured). Like I said before, FATS ARE YOUR FRIEND (although bio-individuality is key 🔑, and if you have gallbladder or certain deficiencies or digestive issues you might need to sort those issues out first before your body can digest fats). When I went on a HCLF (high carb low fat) vegan diet I felt good at first, but then everything spiraled and it sent me deeper into the hole I was already in. I thought a HCLF diet was going to fix all my problems, but it only made my problems worse--hair loss (I have so much hair my hairdresser said she would have to charge me for 2-3 people if she dyed my hair, and when it was falling out it felt like I lost half of it!), weight gain, inability to lose weight, diarrhea, gas, bloating, anxiety, fatigue, poor sleep, weak muscles, etc. So many reasons for it, but the HCLF diet really pushed me over the edge. SOOO HAPPY to have lamb back in my life 🇬🇷🇦🇲🤤
