Sweet potato paratha - Paleo and AIP! Parathas are Indian flatbreads and are usually stuffed with either veggies or potatoes! I made these using white sweet potatoes ( those with purple skin) and water chest nut flour( singoda flour). Big news friends! Announcing the first public #unboundwellnessW30 ... aka whole30 for March 2018! Why does someone who’s modified AIP need a whole30 though? Because AIP is not treat free 😅 I think it’s a good practice to reset with the treats and just take some time to focus on more nutrient density AND to show you guys how to marry AIP and Whole30 🤗 . . I’ve done a lot of AIP, and Whole30 style elimination diets to help me manage my Hashimoto’s and get to the root of my gut health issues, but not a public Whole30 for you guys to follow along with here 👯‍♀️ . . Honestly, things were entirely too crazy during January for me to do it when everyone else was... real life 🤷‍♀️ So I’m doing my own real life schedule and doing one when I can fit it in! . . I was planning to kick of next Monday the 26th so we could go through March and into Easter... Healing takes time. You don't have to figure it all out in one go. It's a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, and minute-by-minute journey. Pace yourself, and know the puzzle pieces will present themselves as you go along the way. . Rest moments, days and even weeks are part of the process, too. The drive we feel to figure it all out is important, but we need a break from that too. Information overwhelm can burn you out real quick, and the stress from the whole shebang can set us back from the healing we are so motivated to acheive. . Take a breather, hun. Tried my first sardine salad plate this weekend! Mixed one can of sardines with lemon juice and balsamic vinegar, then added chopped avocado and pink lady apple. Served it over spinach and alongside fresh fried plantains. I liked it more than I expected, especially when I learned that sardines are incredibly high in calcium, B12, Omega 3s, and selenium. Anyone else have a fav way to eat sardines? ☺️

This Turkey and Mushroom Lettuce Wrap recipe is a one-pot meal that is really healthy. I really don’t feel like I’m missing out when I’m eating this dish. It’s satisfying for not just myself but the rest of my non-AIP family.
