BIG DELTS NOW by jmaxfitness - If you want to build big delts, you can't just isolate them and chase the pump, you need to get stronger in the overhead pressing exercises. - Here's what I recommend doing: - Have 3 shoulder days and cycle through training your shoulders every other day: - Workout A: Barbell Military Press - 5 sets of 4-6 reps. - Workout B: Dumbbell Overhead Press - 5 sets of 8-12 reps - Workout C: Lateral Raises - 1 sets of 12-15+ (or to failure) Rear Delt Machine - 2 sets of 50. - On Workouts A & B, always try to do more than last time. This means trying to add 5 more pounds or at least 1 more rep. Shoulder Stability Rehab ———— This will be a quick two part series on shoulder stabilization exercises. This patient suffered a subluxation of his left shoulder but has been recovering well. My focus is to improve his shoulder stability through strengthening exercises of his rotator cuff (focusing on posterior cuff) and scapula stabilizers (rhomboids, traps, serratus anterior). I use a variety of exercises, utilizing both open and closed chain exercises. ———— 1️⃣ Plank on ball with circles 2️⃣ Push up plus 3️⃣ Forearm wall slide with band - you’ll notice his left shoulder has a difficult time sustaining ER (this is the affected shoulder) 4️⃣ Cable Crossover Pulldowns
