The past 3 days with the ks_virtualcoaching team have been extremely eye opening and hopefully life changing. This seminar provided a ton of knowledge, a lot of which I had studied beforehand, but actually receiving hands on instructions and tactile cues that were specific enough to me to where I could FEEL what was supposed to be going on was what really opened the floodgates and realize how much I really have to learn and work on. I’ve never been so embarrassed with how much I struggled with such remedial movements and mechanics- like shaking just trying to hold a static dead bug correctly, yet at the same time those deficiencies have never made me feel more EMPOWERED I realize now that it’s a blessing for me to have a floor so low, because that just means there’s that much more room for improvement and raises my potential’s ceiling that much more. And it’s only potentially life changing because nothing is set in stone until I actually make something out of it. It’s going to take a LOT of hard, intentioned work to make that happen, and I think I’m finally ready for that. Being real, I’ve struggled a lot mentally recently and have struggled to find drive to even get in the gym at all- feeling like I’m endlessly going in circles and wasting my time and energy. I ended a pretty successful cut with a binge while having the flu and have been depressed for the past 3 weeks and negative about my training for much longer. It’s going to take just as much mental effort as it will physical to improve, but I’m actually excited for that challenge. It’s scary, but what goals in life worth chasing aren’t? In both my movements and outside the gym it will remain true that THERES ALWAYS MORE- more effort, more attention to detail, and more I could be doing to get better in some aspect in my life in each moment. Can’t wait to get back in bossbarbellclub tomorrow and squat with the team for my first session under the coaching of joesullivanpowerlifter 1500 total coming BOB 5. You heard it here first. ~21 weeks out and ravenous.

Workout of the day was a focus of release and strengthening of my posterior chain and thoracic spine. 405x8 and 455x8 glute bridges with muscle ups in between. Followed by a 455x3 traditional deadlift and 405x3x3, 455x3 sumo dead lift. Saw this the other day and had to share. - This is over a 6-7 year period. Staci is the same weight in each pic. But there’s a huge difference in body composition (and strength too, obv.). - I wanted to share this because a lot of us have an instant gratification mindset. We want to work out today and see results tomorrow. - Some of you probably even check yourself out in the mirror when you get home from training 😛 - The issue is that, while our bodies are amazing at adapting to the stress we put them through, they’re not capable of changing like this overnight. - That’s where the patience, discipline, long-term vision, and consistent hard work comes in. - If you want to be big and strong, be #rippedandshredded, pull a huge #deadliftpr or #skwaat tons of weight, you gotta be in this for the long haul. - Otherwise you’re going to be disappointed and frustrated every step of your journey. - Assuming you don’t quit along the way. - Repost from staciardison ・・・ Really cool to see how my body shape has changed over the years, doing what i love. I tend to neglect my shoulders a lot. In the past i havent trained it as hard as the other parts of my body but i’ve recently incorporated it into my training regime. I want a full, well rounded physique that i can be proud of and until i get those shoulders buldging, that wont happen! • Considering that i barely train shoulders, i’m happy with strength i have! Haven't done cheater pulls in almost 2 years (maybe even longer) except for some light triples at 335lb/152kg a few days ago. Worked up to 405lb/184kg yesterday (BW 200lb) and it felt pretty good, definitely could've gone a bit heavier. This was given the fact that I had a crushed toe from dropping a weight on it recently (you can see my right big toe hovering over the ground here because I couldn't put too much weight on it).
