🍑 GLUTE GROWTH 101🍑⠀ ⠀ A lot of clients come to me saying “I want a better butt, it just never happens!” Then when I ask them what their current routine is- and it becomes clear why they aren’t getting the results they want! ⠀ ⠀ Here are my top three tips for FINALLY getting your booty in check ✔️⠀ ⠀ 🔻 STOP RELYING ON BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES, ELASTIC BANDS, & THE STAIRMASTER. These are all great tools, but they aren’t going to give you a great ass on their own. You need to LIFT HEAVY WEIGHT. Muscle will not grow without being overloaded. Weights won’t make you bulky, so hit the weight room. ⠀ ⠀ 🔻 STOP RELYING ON SQUATS. Now don’t get me wrong- squats are a wonderful exercise for many reasons. But it isn’t the end all be all for booty building. Try other compound movements such as hip thrusts and sumo and Romanian deadlifts, and isolation movements such as kick backs, lateral step ups, etc. these exercises activate the glutes more than squats do. ⠀ ⠀ 🔻 STOP DIETING. Muscles cannot grow in a caloric deficit! You must be eating sufficient calories (especially protein) to build your butt! Sending so much birthday love to my dear friend and tribe co-leader Sarah! 🎂 Sarah’s been with us over a year now and I truly can’t imagine the Revolution without her. Always bright, loving, and kind... Sarah gives so much to everyone without ever asking for or expecting anything in return. She’s gotten me through some of the most important yet overwhelming moments since the birth of the Studio. . Leading our Gentle Hatha on Sunday’s, Sarah makes her class therapeutic and beneficial for ALL students, welcoming challenge and transformation with love and support.
