Yay! I post partum PRd:) running before the twins was soo hard because my abdominal muscles had seperated completely and were 8 cm apart! 8! This was from my oregnancy with indee anf just got worse! Because none of my muscles touched- they werent coming back together naturally. So NOTHING was supporting my organs and def was causing spinal problems! Had surgery to repair the muscles(pulled the muscles back together by cutting me hip to hip- bigger than my c section scar- and stitching the muscles back together) will prob need a second surgery to tie up loose strings- literally! But i am sooooo excited about being able to run and not have everything hurt as bad! Peroneal Tendonitis... We stretch our Calves, Hamstrings, and Quads, but often we are unaware of the importance of stretching many other muscles. The Peroneals (a group of muscles on the lateral compartment of lower leg), van be a common area of tension. The tendons of these muscles run along the outside of the ankle, which can sometimes become inflamed and tender (tendonitis). This may be due to overuse, over arched feet, running on uneven surfaces, etc. Along with rest, ice and strengthening exercises, stretching these muscles can alleviate the symptoms.
