You need to live by this rule. Eat protein with EVERY meal. Every MEAL. If you’re going to eat a waffle in a cafe, take some protein powder with you. Every meal you’re eating, you have a form protein. That’s a rule you want to live by. - You need to know how much you need. If you don’t even know how much you need then how are you supposed to nail your protein goal? For every pound of bodyweight, eat one gram of protein. (for overweight people multiply your lean body mass with 1). - Cook it in bulk!! If you cook your protein sources in bulk you always have a protein form to eat!! You’re coming home late from work and don’t feel like cooking up an entire meal? Don’t bother, you’ve already cooked most of it!!! - ALWAYS carry protein with you. ALWAYS, even though you’re just going out for 20 minutes, odds are you run into a friend and off you go. Just always carry protein with you! - Supplement when necessary! If you really can’t make your protein intake, just have some whey or a protein bar. There’s nothing wrong with any of these things so just have it when you need it! - End the day with what you need!!! At the end of everyday, count how many grams you’ve had, you realize you’re coming up short? Brooke (my blind athlete) is back from break and training is in full swing again! So in training things are bound to happen.. I pick up and drop off Brooke from her home so she doesn’t have to get an uber just to get to the gym. Since it’s -1 out right now at the start of her workout I ran to the truck to warm it up so we didn’t get into a freezing vehicle for the drive back. Well needless to say the one time I’m not around for 30 seconds she kicks the bar and goes on the hunt for her equipment lol. I felt so damn bad but Brooke was stoked I got it on film. I told her I didn’t want to be the most hated CrossFit coach by telling anyone about it but she insisted I post the blooper. Especially since you can hear her say “oh no” lol. I told her I needed a video of her agreeing to me posting it before I did, she thought it was hilarious and that her sister kristenpernice would get a kick out of it! There are no secondary muscle groups recruited so there is constant tension on the hamstring muscle. If you have a universal cable machine at home here's a pair of ankle straps to try out this exercise! 》http://amzn.to/2DkcvlF《 To schedule a 1 on 1 training session please contact NOBULLMUSCLE GMAIL.COM -Set up for the lying cable hamstring curl by setting up a flat bench. -Place the bench in front of a cable pulley machine with the lowest end closet to the pulley. -Attach an ankle cuff attachment to the low pulley and set the weight on the stack. If an ankle cuff is not available, you may find you can fit a pair of single handles around your ankles. -Secure the ankle cuff to your ankles and lie face down on the bench and position yourself so that your knees are at the edge of the bench. Your legs should be fully extended and you can wrap your arms around the bench for stability. This is the starting position. -Bending at the knees only slowly curl your ankles up towards your buttocks. -Raise your ankles as far as comfortably possible or just past 90 degrees. -Pause for a moment and then lower the weight to the starting position.
