This is something I contemplate very regularly. To me, being healthy means physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually healthy. We all need work in different areas of life. I choose areas to work on all the time and do that. Lately, I’ve been working on getting more vegetables in my diet to increase #micronutrients to flood my body with good stuff so I can ensure a healthy body and optimal functioning. I’ve also been working on emotional health by journaling every night. I journal for about 20 minutes about whatever is on my mind - good, bad and fears. I end with gratitude. If you don’t get your thoughts and emotions out, they will stay inside of us and can cause unhealthy physical responses. 10 days #postpartum and finally feeling functional enough to attempt a walk on the treadmill 🙌 Ended up with a spinal headache that sent me back to the hospital for a blood patch last Monday. Thankfully the procedure helped with almost all of the pain I was experiencing, but it did hamper some of the rest of my recovering (lying flat on your back for 3 days isn’t ideal for engorgement 😳) I felt good enough this morning to give it a go and was happy to see my body responded positively to being push ever so slightly. I really don’t care about losing any weight or breaking any land speed records right now, just maintaining my daily activity level. 1 mile is a good start!
