By the book training does not work for everyone, to be a great trainer you MUST know WHY you are teaching WHAT you are teaching to WHO. A little throwback to our interview with CNA, and a #stackedathlete represent who shared about her experience with sustaining injuries from doing personal training. · The problem with being in pain/if you have pain is that the connections between your brain and your body is blurred due to the compensations introduced to the body. Things aren't as clear cut anymore. So you'll need a map (assessment + clinical reasoning)- which is what physios are trained to do! · Think about it like that: When you want to get somewhere, there is always more than one way to do so. · In our opinion - Working with a trainer is akin to not using a map at all. Where most things is based on 'guess and check' and past experiences, with both their clients/ their own. · Working with an average professional is akin to using an old school map- kinda like taking the less than ideal route - which means more detours, more time wasted, and sometimes you get frustrated and change your mind about even wanting to go there. (Poor prescription = poor compliance and adherence) · Working with us means using a GPS -taking the fastest route to get to where you're headed with all things considered. We know where the jams are, whether you should take the highway or the small roads. & all know that road conditions defers day by day, just like how pain and dysfunctions differ among individuals. · We have done the hard work to simplify the process, by putting together an outstanding GPS system that helps you do the least to get you to your destination in the fastest & safest way. · All you need to do is to trust our judgement, then reap the rewards. #getstackedorgetsmacked

This is a fantastic progression to the hip internal/external rotation rock, and can add a strong element of core stability and control to the exercise. This loaded rock can promote very healthy hips in the right individual, reinforcing good movement and allowing for deeper and more stable squats. To perform, sit with one leg in front and the other to the side as seen in the video. From here, rock forward until you feel a stretch or pull in the glute on the same side as your forward leg, then backward until you feel a the movement in the front of your hip on the back leg. Make sure you keep the movement controlled, and slowly increase your range of motion.
