It’s time to talk about your relationship with food. Do you turn to food (or away from it) when your upset or stressed or angry? Do you give your body the food it needs or the food your mouth wants? . . Your body is super clever and if you haven’t eaten enough or the right stuff, it thinks it’s starving. What’s the best thing to eat that will give you quick energy and make sure you don’t die? Carbs, sugar, and crap. . . Without you knowing it, your body will convince your mouth that it needs sugar... that’s where sugar cravings come from! . Fad diets don’t work because they deprive you of certain foods that you actually need. You can lose your weight but they are generally not sustainable and you fall back into the same patterns because you’re not getting what you need out of food. Your brain won’t tell you “I’m actually in need of a good salad with heaps of different veggies and protein.” But it will tell you “I’m hungry.” Before you decide to eat, figure out what you’re body needs to fuel it for the rest of the day. Think “could I use some more fruit?” “have I had enough water today?” (The answer to that last one is no, by the way). This can even apply to medications. I’ve done this! I’ve decided to take a pain killer for a headache rather than drink more water. I know I’m dehydrated but that’s so much easier. Don’t do that. Give your body what it needs!! . . Take a moment, figure out what you’re our body NEEDS (not wants) and eat (or drink, or do) that. You’re worth it! And you. are. enough. 🙌🏽

meal prepped some muffins for the week// gluten-free, refines sugar free fruit muffins! - 3/4 cups brown rice flour - 1/4 tapioca flour - 1 cup coconut sugar - 2 tsp baking powder - 1/4 tsp salt - 2 eggs - 1 /2 cup butter - 1 cup almond milk - 2 tsp vanilla extract - 1 cup of fresh or frozen berries * preheat oven to 400, line 12 muffin tin * combine butter (melted), eggs, almond milk & vanilla extract * whisk together all dry ingredients * add wet ingredients to dry ingredient until fully combined * gently fold in berries * bake for 15-20 mins or until toothpick comes out clean! 💗🍓😍🙌🏼🍇 #holisticnutrition #glutenfree #fruitmuffin #healthcoach
