Stand strong. #Repost zeatrix_kiddo with repostapp・・・I have seen them become less human to satisfy another human as if their own self wasn’t enough. As if they had extra bones to give away.As if they had an extra heart somewhere inside of them.[...]As if they were not strong enough to think, but they were strong enough to take commands. As if their mind was too weak to form opinions on their own.As if their dreams had another lifetime.[...]I have seen them waste the human life too easily, and sometimes, not by choice. - Margaritë Çamaj #brilliant #poetry #feminine #roots #matriarchy #backtotheroots #thecursewillbebroken #iveseenthem #everywhere #lostandforgotten #itsyourchoice #femrat #magazine #respect #streetart #heART

“To reclaim the word witch is to reclaim our right, as women, to be powerful,” wrote Starhawk, in her seminal 1979 book The Spiral Dance. “To be a witch is to identify with 9 million victims of bigotry and hatred and to take responsibility for shaping a world in which prejudice claims no more victims. I think that part of the power of the word is that it refers to a kind of power that is not legitimized by the authorities,” Starhawk says. “Even though not all witches are women, and a lot of men are witches, it seems to connote women’s power in particular. And that’s very scary in a patriarchal world – the kind of power that’s not just coming from the hierarchical structure, but some kind of inner power. And to use it to serve the ends that women have always stood for, like nurturing and caring for the next generation – that, I think, is a wonderfully dangerous prospect.” -Starhawk on the resurgence of witchcraft via Sady Doyle of The GuardianAnother great witch named Laurie Cabot says "Despite what our modern society would have you believe, the Witch within you is not dangerous, but protective. She is not frivolous, but exceedingly accurate and trustworthy. Witches have and always will be the healers, counselors, midwives, scientist despite oppressions of patriarchal order. Regardless of the path you take be it traditional or non-traditional, magic is available to all willing and receptive to learning how to heal, protect, create and empower. #witchesgetshitdone #powerofthewitch #bitchcraft #witches #brujas #brujxs #everydaymagic #hoodwitches #thehoodwitch #interviews #wisewomen #healers #matriarchy #fuckyourbeautystandards #oracles #midwives #pristess #goddesses #divinity #power #facetattoo tattoosonbroadway7403 •Does anyone know the person photographed? It’s hard for me to express how very happy I am being together with my Mosuo family. Tonight we were sitting around the fireplace, drinking baijiu, watching the photos and videos I took at Luguhu last summer and the last days, smiling, laughing, Ama, the matriarch, slapping me on my leg — just the way I do it with my friends ((just the way they hate me doing it)). Ama recently started calling me son, every day we drink together (not that I enjoy their moonshine baijiu that much, but she already finds me weird not eating meat, so I just keep up with the 2-5 glasses every evening), talk about life, Mosuo culture and laugh a lot. Today her son Nima told me that we are their only distributor “我都靠你们卖披肩、被子、羊毛毯、红米、猪膘肉、香肠这些“, the only seller of their scarves, tablecloths, lamb wool blankets, red rice, salted pork and sausages outside of their village, in China, outside of China, everywhere. At this point I really want to thank each and every one of you that bought one of their scarves, you are directly helping them to pay a fair salary to the Mosuo women weaving the scarves, helping to preserve Mosuo culture and helping to spread the stories of the last matriarchy on earth. From the happiest and most thankful corner of my heart I want to thank bryonyt89,who one year ago, when I didn’t have any money at all, completely payed for our trip around Yunnan finding the beautiful handcrafted items that now found a home at Hoki Handicrafts and finding our Mosuo family. Thank you so much Bry. Also, I want to thank Glenn, Vito, Chris, Evita and everyone else at Pop-Up Beijing who believed in the Mosuo scarves since the moment they saw them, help us bring Mosuo culture to Beijing and are introducing Mosuo blankets/ tablecloths this month. Thank you ❤️ A big package of Mosuo scarves is on its way to Denmark! Thank you for taking our Mosuos to Europe, Maria ❤️ I’m thankful to my teachers letting me write my thesis about Mosuo culture and I’m so much looking forward to taking Hoki to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the rest of the world in the Year of the Rooster, I can’t wait. I hope the rooster will bring only the best for our Mosuo, for Hoki and for all of us. Happy 2017, everyone
