This progress pic was taken 2.5 weeks after my show. I did NOT want to take it because honestly my lenses at this time were so SCREWED UP. Lenses as in the lenses you see yourself through through that cloud & obscure your view of yourself. These lenses are like looking in one of those mirrors at the fair that distorts your height shape etc. Most of the time these lenses come from your mindset. danikarjohnson_ kristyleconte call them Picasso glasses. Ya know how piscassos paintings are all sorts of whacked? Your Picasso glasses 👓 are like looking through a pair of broken lenses, you just don’t see yourself objectively or accurately. I had been on a cruise for a week after my show, ate like a pig so I was feeling guilty and ashamed. So much shame & guilt & because of that I was projecting my guilt for my over eating onto how I was viewing myself & in my mind at this time I looked horrible! _ How often do you feel guilty & ashamed for something you ate, then as a result of that shame and guilt, you feel like you look awful & you feel awful about yourself ? When in reality, an outside perspective you probably don’t look a single bit different. _ My point here is that we feel so much guilt & shame for our eating choices sometimes. often times we make excuses, self sabotage & comfort emotional foods are disguised as a good time, “but it tastes so good to eat lots of 🍩🍪 and I ❤️ eating sweets.” _ However I find that I’m happiest when I am on track, when I am being better about my choices and eating habits. This happiness doesn’t come from how we look, our weight, or abs. It comes from a sense of accomplishment, a sense of being proud of ourselves for making better choices & doing things that are good for us. A sense taking care of ourselves. It comes from self love! We’re taking care of ourselves and honoring ourselves & our bodies. _ & then when we abandon ourselves & don’t take care of ourselves we see through Picasso glasses again. We self sabotage! Our subconscious has a limit to the amount we think we deserve so when reach that set limit our subconscious derails us, you’ll eat pizza and be like why! I was doing so good⬇️

A huge thank you for all your lovely comments about my post yesterday (link in bio). I really do appreciate it and I'm not ashamed to say I cried at all the comments they were so beautiful! . I want to share something with you in the hope that it encourages you. . I don't really want to move and as we all know moving is stressful. One of the problems I have is that I'm moving into a much smaller flat than I'm currently in and it's furnished. This actually is a blessing as I didn't really want to bring all my furniture up to the Midlands. . The main items that worried me were the sofas and chairs as they are big. Because I own a number of houses one of the solutions could have been to store everything in one of those but it's a real logistical nightmare moving everything not into just one house but three houses in different cities! . It had been worrying me for weeks and I really wasn't sure what to do - but then God stepped in! The lady renting the flat I'm leaving asked if she could buy everything!!!! The sofas, sofa bed, dining table, chairs, beds, drawers, shelving units, desk - everything!!! Unbelievable! . This saves me so much time and effort and now all I have to do is move my personal belongings. You can't tell me that God isn't real! . On top of that, because I love the area so much I've been looking for somewhere to stay when I need to come back to London. I checked out AirBnB and came across a lovely room a couple of streets away from where I'm living and even closer to Hyde Park and Oxford St! . The guy had literally put the advert up the same day I saw it and has agreed to let me come and stay on a regular basis for next to nothing. . All I can say is that when you follow your purpose and God's plan for your life don't get disheartened if it takes you in a direction you didn't want to go in. He's not trying to take anything away from you. . He will make the transition as smooth as possible because he's only trying to show you that he has exceedingly and abundantly more in store for you than you can ever think or imagine. Your future will be so much brighter than your past so just trust him.

Having dinner guests but don’t know what to cook? I’ve been in the same boat over the last week as we have family visiting us from the UK….and they, along with my husband and daughter, are real meat lovers! Being the main cook in the house, I still happily prepare meat-based dishes for my family, but I do like to have the opportunity to throw in some of ‘my food’ from time to time, to mix it up a bit! When I say I’m cooking a vegetarian meal I just know everybody is bracing themselves for a plate of kale (!), so I do like to prove them wrong! Our #curry night when down a treat: freshly prepared king prawn bhuna (n.b. it was supposed to be paneer to make it truly vegetarian but I’d run out!), spicy chana masala, mixed vegetable raita and chapatti breads. All gluten free and made with fresh ingredients. A lot of times when I am asking about peoples diets, what they eat and how much, a phrase I often hear is “but its healthy fat”. However, when dieting or trying to lose weight, loading up a salad with “healthy fats” isn’t weight loss or physique friendly. _ The most common of these foods is avocado, guacamole, nuts, granola, olive oil, coconut oil, peanut butter, chia seeds, flax seeds, quinoa… _ While I agree, that some of these foods are nutrient dense (mostly just avocado, quinoa and some nuts), these foods are HIGHLY caloric and can turn a “healthy” salad into a calorie BOMB blowout. _ So just because a food is deemed “healthy” doesn’t mean that is will help you to lose weight. _ The best way to lose weight is be in a calorie deficit and control your portions, and even just a small portion of the foods above adds a lot of calories to your day. _ Yes, fats are important in our diets, for hormone balance, however, they should be included in moderation. For example, any of the above foods a portion size is about the size of a thumb. _ So my point is all the healthy food you eating, could be limiting your fat loss because these are packed with calories.
