P I L A T E S : The leg Circle . The 4th movement in the Pilates repertoire. Reach the leg long to the ceiling without the pelvis or spine moving then take it across the body and sweep down and out to the side to draw a beautiful circle . Think about the leg as a pestle and mortar so the leg is circling in the pelvis while the pelvis stays as connected to the mat as possible . Use a band if tight in the leg and for support . Focus on keeping the pelvis level and connected to the Mat. Also think about the leg that comes in to the chest and feel that diagonal stretch . I sometimes like to imagine an elastic band attached to both my big toes and when I reach that one leg long the other is pulling back to get the stretch .
