I am so pleasantly surprised because I did not expect these results...Not a smidgen of German?! And only a trace of Scandinavian. #ancestrydna #genetics #appalachian #colonial #immigrants #nerdhappy #interesting #curiositysatisfied

--- #immigrants #immigration #immigrationlawyer #immigrationattorney #inmigrantes #inmigracion #inmigrante #deported #deportados #deportation #deportacion #abogado #abogadomaryteruya #abogadamaryteruya #abogadodeinmigracion #maryvisa #maryteruya #usa #greencard #perdon #visa #florida #osceola #orlando #tally #tallahassee #kissimmee #sebring

"Burn your bridges. I think that’s the most important thing. A lot of people when they immigrate, they expect to be doing the same thing they were doing in their homeland but they must remember that this is a foreign country. Firstly, you must live by the foreign country rules. You don’t bring your rules with you to live in the exact same conditions. Don’t think that if you can’t make it here, you can always go back home. That way you won’t put in as much hard work. When you know there’s nothing behind you; you can’t go back. You can only move forward in this country. I think in that way every immigrant and every person can be successful if they don’t have a bridge to look back to. A lot of failures that I see in life are people who came here and went back feeling that they had a better position at home. For example, they were a manager at home and here they work as a salesman They want to go back and be a manager again. And that’s why they can’t be successful because they aren’t willing to start again and build a future. I started here thinking of the future of my family. We grew from nothing. We came with only $3000 cash in our pockets and have grown to where we are right now. We did it all on our own. I’m so proud."
