Social Sunrise comes to you on 30-12-2017, the last one of the year from Spoon Bay. Today showed me what an awesome bunch of friends I've made since I moved onto the Coast and how lucky I am that I found a real love of photography as well as these awesome people that share my passion. The camaraderie we have, even the short jokes, is amazing for a bunch of people from different walks of life that have made our way to this special place in NSW. As I sit back and look back over the last 12 months and the amount of information I have absorbed from these friends and how I have grown over this time with them I get a little emotional as it is due these guys and gals. We arrived at Forresters Beach, yes you read correctly Forresters Beach, this is where we were originally going to shoot from. As I got out of my car it started to rain. I jumped into Murray's car to find Rushy and Andrew already in the car. We sat and talked about lots of things. The rain came down heavier and heavier. Finally the rain let up and we wondered down to the beach to check out whether we were going to get any photographs. We knew the tide was high, however the rock platform we had decided to shoot from was inaccessible. So we decided the next beach around, Spoon Bay, was the spot to be. So we jumped in our cars and off we went. We set off down the beach and onto the Rock Platform to shoot the blow hole and the wave action. I still wasnt convinced it was worth getting the camera out of the bag so I wandered around the platform, just absorbing the view. As I stood next to Glenn we watched a wave coming in. Glenn said this is going to be a big one and it was. Yes, you guessed it I got drenched from head to foot, lucky it was still humid and warm. I turned around and grinned at Andrew applauded. At least, I didn't have my camera!!!! Or my phone 😀 I then decided to get the camera out as the cloud formations were amazing. Whilst I processed these few images I couldn't help but look back at the day and remember all that happened and has happened through out the year. Hope you like my images, if you do, please follow me to keep updated with my next adventure #ig_aussiepix
