Finally back into lifting. It’s been a hot minute since I trained legs. I’ve not been feeling well over the past two weeks and hence lack of content ( i apologize for that). Some more leg day action for ya guys! Still kept it kind of light today slowly increasing weight so I don’t hurt my knees again or form. But today was a little lighter on the quads and heavier on the glutes! My two favorite glute exercises would be Hip thrusts and Banded 45 degree back extension. I can't emphasize the importance of the tuck of the pelvis to shorten the glutes (training muscles we lengthen and shorten). I like to train hip thrusts within the 8-10 rep range majority of the time. It's nice to have two tops sets with a 20% drop off for the third. As we begin to fatigue, it get's harder to tuck at the top dropping the weight by 20 percent means we can work at a heavier weight for the two top sets and when it comes to the third still get the glutes short.
