Totally ditched out on our group ride this morning. My alarm went off at 5:15 & I just couldn't do it. 😪 So, after sleeping for another 4 hours, I got my butt outside & RAN! Just a 5k but it felt so good to be outside! Sadly, I can't even remember the last time I ran outside. I've been on the treadmill or indoor track for a while. 👎 Was so nice to change things up, even though it was freezing ass cold! ❄❄❄ -M #WeTrainFor

💥Should Runner’s Strength Train?💥 . According to a systematic review of 8 studies involving trained distance runners, the implementation of strength training (including maximal, explosive, and reactive strengthening) for, on average, 10 weeks resulted in improvements in running economy, velocity/power during maximal oxygen uptake, maximal anaerobic running velocity (vMART), and 3k-5k time trials (Beattie, 2014). . Research shows strength training should be implemented into an endurance athletes overall training program. The type of strength training to perform should be based on the experience with strength training of the athlete. manchmal hat man eben doch Glück! 🍀 am 4. Dezember habe ich diese heißen Teile gewonnen☀️Hatte schon nach Laufschuhen mit Grip für den Winter gesucht und dann das💛 Heute ging’s vor der Arbeit dann noch mit der Laufgruppe den Fockeberg hoch und runter- hat total Spaß gemacht💛 aber dementsprechend kaputt bin ich nun auch von dem Tag... morgen geht’s dann auf n ruhige langsame Runde! Einen schönen Samstag Abend Euch🙃

Failed to make it to parkrunuk due to the crap weather but I promised to run so run I did! . . . Warmed up and gradually stepped up the pace culminating in a 7:28 final mile.
