Bon Ton is a new cool spot in Midtown area. We ordered the house boil for two and raw oysters. The meat was fresh and delicious, and the butter on the side goes perfectly with the boiled seafood! My good friend had told me about this place a while ago and I have been a big fan of their plethora of shake offerings. But their big draw is the burgers. They have on the menu a ONE POUND BURGER that if you finish while dining in you get your photo on the wall. But the real reward was leaving a place and actually feeling like you ate something. Once you are feeling better (and it will take time) bro we are going to chill. I miss her but she was your family. I am so happy I was able to make her smile. Looking for a quick and easy but delicious dinner? This flavor is amazing and only uses 5 ingredients ... my must for this is Wild Caught not Farm raised salmon.20 Minute Honey Garlic Salmon. Pan fried and served with a sweet and sticky honey lemon glaze.Serves: 4Ingredients* 4 salmon filets, skin on* 1 tablespoon oil* 3 garlic cloves, minced* 3 tablespoons honey* 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice* chopped parsley for garnish, if desiredInstructions1. Season salmon with salt and pepper.2. Add oil to a large skillet over medium high heat.3. Once hot add in the salmon skin side down.4. Cook salmon for 5-7 minutes on skin side (depending on size).5. Very carefully flip salmon. If the skin is sticking to the pan give it more time to cook. It should release easily from the pan.6. Add garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute.7. Combine honey and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add the sauce to the pan.8. Continue cooking for 1-3 minutes or until the salmon is fully cooked and looks opaque and the sauce is thick.9. Take off of the heat. When the salmon is cool enough to handle peel off the skin.10. I promise that there is Mahi Mahi under all this deliciousness ... The hubby always wants new flavors for all the fish we have caught. I myself love the flavor of the fish but this really is quite explosive.... if you love spice then just add extra crushed red pepper.  Braised Mahi Mahi PuttanescaIngredients4 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided 1/4 Cup Organic Vegetable Broth 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped 6 -8 Sliced Artichoke hearts 1 Medium Sweet Onion Halved then Thinly sliced 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes ( I prefer a little more since I like it a little spicy) 1 1/2 pounds tomatoes, chopped (If you can’t find good fresh tomatoes, a 1 1/2 pound of petite diced tomatoes will work as well) 1/3 cup dry white wine 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved 2 Tbsp. capers, drained Kosher salt 4 skinless mahimahi or sea bass fillets (6 ounces each) 2 tsp. finely chopped flat-leaf parsleyIn a large, heavy skillet, heat 3 Tbsp. oil over low heat. Add broth, garlic and onions and cook, stirring frequently, about 4 minutes, or until garlic & onion is soft but not browned.Stir in red pepper flakes. Add tomatoes, wine, olives, and capers. Increase heat to medium and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes, or until tomatoes have broken down. Season to taste with salt.Season fish with salt, and lay gently in the sauce. Drizzle fillets with remaining 1 Tbsp. oil. A special soup for a brisk March Coldsnap. Organic/Paleo -ready in less than 1 hour.Creamy Cauliflower Chicken & Shrimp ChowderServes: 5-6Ingredients* 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets* 1½ pound bacon (I used peppered bacon for extra flavor), cut into ½ inch pieces* 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp* 2 large carrots, peeled and diced* 4 stalks of celery, diced* 1 red pepper, chopped* 1 yellow onion, chopped* 2 garlic cloves, chopped* 1 teaspoon garlic powder* 1 teaspoon smoked paprika* 1 teaspoon dried oregano* 1 teaspoon dried thyme* ½ teaspoon salt (may use more depending on salt in the bacon and broth)* 6 cup low sodium chicken broth* 2 bay leaves* ¼ cup fresh parsley, roughly choppedInstructions1. Steam cauliflower then set aside.2. Place a dutch oven over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Remove then set aside on a paper towel. Remove excess bacon fat from dutch oven leaving behind 2-3 tablespoons.3. Pat shrimp dry and sprinkle with salt. Add shrimp to the dutch oven and cook on both sides, about 2-3 minutes until shrimp is pink. Remove and set aside.4. Add carrots, celery, onion, pepper and garlic cloves to the pot and use a wood spatula to scrape the bacon of the pan and toss the veggies. Once onion becomes translucent, add garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano and thyme and salt. Stir for about 1 minute in the veggies.5. Add chicken broth and bay leaves to the pot.6. Add cauliflower to a high speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Scoop out cauliflower puree into the dutch oven along with ½ the bacon. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.7. Remove bay leaves and add fresh parsley then use an immersion blender to puree soup until smooth and combine. Lastly, add the shrimp back to the back to the pot to heat through.8.
