#nevermissamonday I'm trying hard to get this holiday week started off right! I had a super busy day (you can see some of my meal prep in my stories!) but I still got to the gym and got my swim done. . Its going to be a super crazy week, but I'm planning on still getting a few workouts in throughout! What are your plans for the week?! . Putting all this pie to use (cause, we made a practice pie 😂) and gettin dem gainz! Hit squats for 3 sets of 3 reps at 170lbs after hitting 2 sets of 5 reps at 165lbs. Then continued on with all the stuffs! The full workout: 🌟Barbell squats. 🍑Superset: 🌟1-leg box squats. 🌟Bulgarian split squats. 🍑Superset: 🌟Front squats. 🌟Calf raises. 🍑Triset: 🌟Glute kickbacks. 🌟Side lunges. 🌟Planks.

I frequently think about how long I have to go until I reach my goals, so it’s easy to get caught up in the journey and forget how far I’ve already come. When I look at pictures from last year, it’s hard to believe how far I let myself go. I definitely remember the way I felt physically, emotionally and mentally. I was totally exhausted. Most days I didn’t want to get out of bed, and truthfully I didn’t have any reasons to. Because I didn’t create any for myself. You are in charge of your own destiny, your own health and your own body. I used to blame my genetics, my #pcos, my family... anything as long as I didn’t have to blame myself. I was uneducated about proper nutrition and I had an awful relationship with food. Food was my vice, and I used food to cope with every emotion - whether good or bad. My day revolved around food. I’ve learned that there’s no such thing as bad food, just bad habits and poor choices. Creating healthy habits and calorie counting was instrumental to my success; but I really couldn’t have done it without reaching deep into myself and throwing away all the emotional baggage I was carrying with me. You deserve to be happy NOW, you deserve to love yourself TODAY. The right tools are important for the job: learning about caloric restriction, proper nutrition and macros, a balance of exercise and creation of healthy habits - it can be a steep curve but not an impossible one. The first step is forgiving your past and accepting yourself for who you are in this present moment. Each day is a new gift that is given to you and you get to choose how to spend it. Day 44 of 60! I can't believe I'm almost done with this program! Today was all about total body cardio to get your heart rate up and get the sweat dripping! It did NOT disappoint! I'm very thankful that it was a short workout today because with Thanksgiving coming up, I have a lot to do, but making sure I get my workout in IS one of them. No excuses. Even Buggs knows what's up. He is always by my side. 😻😻

🌿 E A T in slow motion 🌿 - - We’re a rushed, busy society with simply too much on our plates (literally and metaphorically). Therefore we like to cut corners, maximize time and multitask seemingly menial tasks such as to E A T 🍴 - - We have things to do, places to be and people to see but when did EATING fall off our priority list? Skipping meals because you’re ‘too busy’ then inhaling your food when you get home because you’re so ravenous ❌ OR eating on the go, eating in the car, eating at your desk without a second thought to what you’re eating, how much you’re eating or simply: E N J O Y I N G your food 🤗 - - Therefore I always ensure to make time for my meals (at least 30 minutes) to sit down and really savour every single bite 👉The benefits of simply slowing down include: ✅ Better digestion (because you actually chew your food so it’s easier for your body to process/digest) ✅ Greater satisfaction after a meal (do you ever finish a meal and still feel hungry?) ✅ Ability to listen to your bodies hunger cues (listening to when you actually feel full will stop you from overeating). - - ✨Slowing down really allows me to recognise when I’m full and avoids those ‘I just had breakfast and I’m still hungry moments’ 🙄 So if you’re naturally a ‘fast eater’, can’t hold a conversation while eating and literally just inhale a meal in 2 minutes…. It can be a hard habit to crack.
