I haven't posted in what feels like forever! It's been quite a start to the beginning of the year...😅. Learnt this cute little move that was a killer for my bad shoulders but as you can see at the end I was pretty happy 😄. Here’s an example of hip abduction. In the first pic, my feet are pointed straight forward. This range can be limited by bone contact of the femoral neck on the lateral ridge of the acetabulum pretty early in the movement with some people. In the second pic, I just turned my toes out putting my hip into more external rotation, which moved my femoral neck and allowed a bit deeper of a range of motion. This also allows you to scope the sick kicks more easily too. In the third pic, I went into some anterior pelvic tilt, which put me into a mild hip flexion position compared to the previous two, and helped me get slightly deeper into that abduction position. In all three positions, I wasn’t restricted by any feeling of muscle stretch, but more like I was hitting a brick wall in my hips. I could do all the static stretching, activation, and joint smashing in the world, but unless I can re arrange where my bones are, I won’t be getting much lower. By changing your positioning, you can have a dramatic effect on your flexibility for both a bigger range or a smaller range, depending on the position. Facial split on poooole 💪🐨 Prouesse d'hier soir 😍 et après une séance jambes 😂 bon maintenant je marche en canard mais je le vie bien 🦆 J'ai repris les cours de pole hier et ça fait bien plaaaaiz 😋 depuis le temps j'avais l'impression d'être un poulet rôti sur son pic m'enfin j'ai quand même réussi quelques trucs 🤗 Mais aujourd'hui c'est repos !
