Buenos días! Until my knee is fully recovered, I'm going to be doing a blend of exercises that will focus on core and upper body. Lower body workouts will be controlled and low/no impact. Today's routine included raised bridges, leg raises, inch worms, Russian twists, controlled squats, triceps dips etc. Worked up a sweat while taking care of my knee 👌🏼 *******************************************************Have you ever had a setback - with fitness, business, a relationship? I think we all have. My question to you is, what did you do when faced with the setback - did you (a) just throw your hands up and give up or did you (b) take a step back, reassess/regroup then move forward? I used to do (a) all the time. Something didn't work with a relationship, I didn't get the promotion or - like now - I physically can't do the workouts I want to because of an injury, I would just give up. My knee is swollen and can't do my MMA workouts? Oh well, I would just not do a damn thing then get upset why I gained weight or why I was always so tired/weak. Over time - and with alot of personal development books/podcasts - I've learned to take a step back, assess what I can't do (no HIIT/MMA/kickboxing workouts), what can I do (yoga/Pilates, core focused workouts, arms/shoulders and some limited lower body plus focus on my nutrition), regroup and move forward. Only you can control how you react to what happens or doesn't happen to you. You, no one else. #transformation #youvsyou

Training for the WFPS Half Mararhon (Oct 15) in full gear! Today was 18.75km (in two parts).....The plan (hope) is to get my distance as close to 21.1 km (in one session) as possible by Oct 8th!! My training is a little behind due to an IT band injury that I had to recover from (from my last 1/2 Marathon in June). I AM also training with an energy deficit (intermittent fasting, eat between 11:30am and 7:30pm) that I will temporarily stop a day or two before Oct 15th...So that I can have an energy filled breakfast (and sugary/energising runners treats) on race day 👍🏃 Of course, none of this would be possible without shaunt beachbody and their INSANE workouts (from 270lbs to 195lbs in 16 months!!) #fitat45 #wfpshalfmarathon2017 #healthylifestyle #intermittentfastingdiet #shauntfitness #beachbody
