🎵Many waters cannot quench this love⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Waters cannot quench this love⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You won't relent until you have it all⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My heart is yours⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Waters cannot quench this love⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You won't relent until you have it all⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My heart is yours⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Come be the fire inside of me⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Come be the flame upon my heart⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Come be the fire inside of me⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Until you and I are one🎵⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We sang this song at church on Sunday and I've been humming it ever since. This hand-lettered print is by my home computer and I constantly look at it to remember the depth of God's love for me. Don't we all need this reminder?! Putting truth around our homes helps us not forget the truth about who we are in Christ and the truth that His Word holds. By memorizing and ETCHing them on our hearts, we can hold that truth even closer and see God change us through it to become more like Him.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want to surround yourself with truth too? Another antidote-type work to help you fight toxic thoughts. I'm thinking this one will be, "You don't have to fit in to belong." I would love to hear anything people have said to you that encouraged you or hit you on a deeper know, if you are comfortable sharing that sort of thing! #wip #workinprogress #oilpainting #encouragementgallery #oilpaint #lampandlight #lifelivedbeautifully #gritandvirtue

My last post shows what the first day of spring really looks like here, but this is how I picture spring in my head: soft sunlight graciously raining down on fields of new flowers, and the flowers in return reaching towards the sun. . Isn’t it a wonder how the flowers find the sun and practically reach out towards it? It’s like they know their life source comes from the sun, and the rain, and the soil that roots them and they DESPERATELY seek after it. Maybe I’m just getting waaaayyyy too into my daughters current plant unit at school 🤔 But it does make me wonder: am I reaching straight up towards my life source? Or am I bogged down, or reaching in the wrong direction? Social media has a way of making us believe lies about ourselves and about others - what THEY are doing or not doing. What I am/am not/won’t/should be doing. When I think of spring, it reminds me to re-evaluate what I’m reaching towards. Am I reaching towards that which feeds my soul? Or am I focused on something else?? When I think of spring, I think about the promise of fresh starts and new life 💓 . #encouragementgallery #graceupongrace #bedeeplyrooted #bethelight #choosejoy #newmercieseverymorning #honestmotherhood #motherhoodunplugged #uniteinmotherhood #joyfulmamas #communityovercompetiton #gardenmetaphors #happyspring #springhassprung #firstdayofspring

Sharing my first post in the #transparencytuesday series today, and talking about my struggle with believing in myself. Sometimes when you fail it can make you gun shy from taking the leap again in life. I felt like I had this pattern of failure all due to my harsh perspective on myself. From water polo, to acting to modeling, I felt like I could never quite succeed ( at least to my standards I had set for myself) I had to change that narrative and examine the things I knew to be true about myself in order to find some confidence. I write about this and so much more in today’s post. If you’re struggling with self worth and lacking confidence, know that you’re not alone and maybe it’s time to change your narrative to yourself.❤️ I hope you can find encouragement in reading about my experience. We are slowly getting better at taking more pictures together. I remember when we were dating, I took pictures of the two of us all the time! . I'm a compulsive picture taker. 🙈 I always have been and Lucas knows this (poor guy). I just want to capture as many life memories as I can ya know? . This picture was taken at our sweet friend infinitely.ours wedding just a few weeks ago. . I would love to know how you like to capture memories! Are you a picture taker, do you like to journal, or both?

Deuteronomy 1 blew my mind today. It talks about how the Israelites’ 40 year journey to the Promised Land was actually an 11 day journey geographically. But the few times God told them to possess the land prior, they forfeited the opportunity in fear. — Leading up to this, God miraculously delivered the Israelites from Egypt. He parted the Red Sea and had them walk through on dry ground. He provided them with bread from Heaven. He guided them with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. — After all their wandering and waiting, God finally brings the Israelites to the Promised Land and says He will give it to them. They even get to taste fruit from the land when they survey it, and exclaim, “It is a good land that the Lord our God is giving us” (1:25). You can almost sense their realization - like, WOW, God really has been FOR us all long. What He has for us - what we’ve been waiting for - is GOOD. — Yet, the land they were being told to possess was inhabited. God told the Israelites He would fight for them, that victory would be theirs - but seeing the land’s inhabitants, that they were “bigger and taller,” the Israelites were overcome with FEAR. They couldn’t see how it would possibly work out. They say, “God hates us, He brought us out of Egypt to destroy us!” (1:27). — Reading their story it’s like, SERIOUSLY guys? But...things tend to be clearer when we’re looking at other people’s lives, right? — When we’re zoomed in on the circumstances in front of us, we’re filled with fear and think we’re doomed to fail. But if we zoom out on the meta-narrative our circumstances are situated in, we’d have to be CRAZY to believe God brought us this far only to fail us now. That’s not who He is. — Like with the Israelites, fear and uncertainty will tempt us to view God’s character incorrectly, but we cannot allow it to. We need to set our sights on His sure promises, not on circumstances that look unpromising. We need to hold to who we KNOW Him to be, reminding ourselves of how He’s come through for us in the past. We need to fix our gaze on His face - to consume our minds with His character, not our conditions. One brings anxiety and trepidation. The other, PEACE.

today is the first day of spring, and it couldn’t feel further from the truth. spring yanked winter by the collar and turned it upside down, dumping out the last bit of snow and ice on all of us. to me, spring means new beginnings. a chance to start over, a chance to take a breath. you can imagine the disappointment I felt when I pulled back my curtains and stared out at the gray. nothing, it seemed, had changed. the world was just as it was before: bleak, with the wind threatening to knock you down at any moment. I wondered to myself when things would be different. it’s easy to get lost in the bleakness of our situations and forget that there’s light ahead. after all, Jesus gave us our true beginning—He redeemed us from our sins and eternal death and replaced it with forever in heaven with Him. walking with God in the winter has been so revealing—He’s gently taken me by the hand and started to show me the world through His eyes. I see people dwelling in their own winters, with no spring in sight. no sun, no flowers, no greenery. your pain is the hardest to bear in the winter, but as new day dawns, truth and clarity are rushing toward you, but you need to look up. look to the One who is present in ALL seasons—the One who watches the leaves fall, lets the snow bury the earth, tells the leaves to grow back again, and whispers to the sun to warm it all. He’s there, watching, waiting. when you find your spring and look back at your winter, it’ll be a reminder of everything the enemy wants you to forget, each moment that brought you to the sun. the flowers aren’t here yet. but you, my dear, are blooming.

We were broken, but God has made us whole. We were lost, but God has found us. We were far from Him, but God has brought us near. We were dead, but God has made us alive. . But God...those two words change everything for us. We are no longer what we once were...and we are continually being transformed into the image of our God. . There is great value in remembering all that God has done for us. Think about your own story and rejoice in all that God has done for you. Fill in the blank in the comments below, or just in your own heart and let your heart be overwhelmed by who He is. . I was ______________, but God __________________.

Is it bad that when I saw this card "He Creates New People" I took a deep sigh. I mean what does that say about me?. . . . I needed to be that "new person" suggested by this journaling card. But we all long to be better right? (Or at least I hope so!) I seem to be going through a season right now... and truth be told don't love the person I am. I need more of Jesus! I need dig down deep and deal with some of my issues. To hide in that cocoon until Jesus has formed the new creation HE wants to do in my life. . . . . Often the struggle in life is what brings us close to God. So I won't wish this season away... I'll just wait the season out and work on becoming NEW at HIS hands. . . . . #if_allthingsnew #illustratedfaith #biblejournaling #journalingbible #lampandlight #givemejesus #gritandvirtue #communityovercompetiton #shereadstruth #goodnewsfeed #encouragementgallery #lifelivedbeautifully #christiancreative #propelwomen #scripture #soulscripts #bedeeplyrooted #womenoffaith #bibleverse #bible #jesus #christian #gospel #holyspirit #biblestudy #god #faith #jesussaves #jesuslovesyou #womenoftheword

"Nehemiah had the confidence to pray and lead because he knew that everything that happened was part of God’s sovereign plan. This same confidence in God’s sovereignty led Abram to leave Ur and by faith go to an unknown land, caused Rahab to trust in God, and prompted Hezekiah not to give in to the demands of the Assyrian king Sennacherib. Confidence comes when people believe that God will keep his promises and complete the work he has started in their lives (Phil 1:6)." — NLT Study Bible Notes What are some of your favorite promises that God makes in the Bible? Share them for others to be encouraged! And then think about how you can apply these when you feel unconfident. . . . #olivetreebible #bibleapp #biblestudy #christiancreative #authenticity #acceptance #bibleapp #biblereading #speaklife #bibleverses #ilovemychurch #encouragementgallery #godsword #christianliving #thebible #wisdomfeed #jesuschrist #Hisword #godisgreat #jesuscalling #dailydevotions #dailydevo #christlike #gritandvirtue #dailyreads #womenintheword #christianblogger
