The Mandaboornap Dreaming Puppet Performance is a free community on Thursday 16th March, 6pm at the James Street Beach. Presented by the Esperance Nyungar Community in partnership with Esperance Community Arts and Escare. This will be a very special event featuring two giant eagles, each over 7.5 metres across. The eagles are coming ... Thursday 16th March, 6pm, James Street Beach! The Mandboornap Dreaming story will be presented by the Esperance Nyungar Community in partnership with Esperance Community Arts and Escare Incorporated for the opening of the 2017 Festival of the Wind Esperance! This is a free event for the whole community...Thank you to Community Arts Network and Lotterywest for funding to support this very special community project! Day 3 of the Mandaboornap Dreaming Puppet project: Today we started to create the puppet people out of foam. We also have the beginnings of a school of fish puppets made from recycled materials. Workshop sessions Monday-Saturday from 10 am @ Nulsen Primary School (Tchan St Entrance). All welcome. Come along and learn a variety of professional puppet making techniques from visiting puppet artist Karen Hethey - for adults and children. We need your help to meet our puppet deadline - 13 large puppets and props by 27th January!
