There is something so magical about running along Summit Road and in the Port Hills - it sounds cheesy but it just feels so good for my soul 🙌🏻🏃🏼‍♀️🙏🏼I am so so happy and grateful that they are on my door step! . This mornings run was a mixture of things: Firstly I was excited to do it because my new 2xu MCS Elite compression leggings had arrived yesterday and I wanted to try them out. Verdict= They are SO comfortable. When I woke up my legs felt a little achy and tired but no word of a lie I put them on and the ache in my calves was gone and legs felt great. Now I am fully aware this at have been psychological but nonetheless it felt good. On the actual run they were really good as well, no issues of them coming down in places or irritating me- honestly my fave running leggings to date. . Secondly we went to Stus work Christmas party last night and despite trying to be 'good' (as in not eat loads of crisps, dips and sugary things) I still at ALL off the food - I over indulged to the max. It seems like I still have quite got to the level where I can control myself around free and naughty food, despite telling myself how rough it will make me feel the next day. I really hope I manage to crack it soon as it just isn't worth the food hangover the next day! And man do I give myself a hard time over it hence this mornings run and circuits session. I am hoping the workouts I make myself do following overindulging work as a lesson to try and teach me to have a little of the treats not eat LOADS! #iminsaneiknow So as a 'lesson' I made this mornings run, a run to Rapaki then intervals up Rapaki to Huntsbury Track and back down into St Martins and straight to the gym. I have to admit it was tough but hoping I will have sweat out some of the naughty food 😅And giving me the headspace to b a little kinder to myself! . The circuits class I then went to was great and the first session I'd had with alicesmithfitness The new PT at pumped 💪🏼🤸🏼‍♂️👍🏻 So there we have it a nice rambling insight into some of the trials and tribulations of #transformations and how you find yourself being so hard on yourself out of fear you are going to go back to the 'old' you!🙈

FRIDAY LOG: Everyday i find out which part of my body is weak and which part is stronger. Everyday i put myself in a complete peaceful zone and cut every distraction out so i can focus on me. Today was a very busy day for 6pm, i still wasnt feeling like doing any work out. I still geared up and sat on the couch for a good 1 hour before convincing myself that im better than this. I geared up and i showed up. When you’re at the point where you realize you need to make a change you have two options: 1. I’m going to do whatever it takes to make the change. or... 2. I know I need to make a change but I’d rather not put forth the effort. It’s too hard. The first choice is the one that makes us stronger. It says, “I’m not stewarding this area of my life well, and it’s time that I start.” In this case, it’s health and fitness. The first option is what Bruce chose. He’s only been working with me a few months and has been making amazing progress. He’s getting stronger and leaner and he’s only going to keep moving forward. When people join Kingdom Fitness they are not just asking for online fitness coaching. They are saying, “I’m ready to make a change.” And I can work with that.

Today: reunited with one of my favourite pieces of equipment 😍 kettle bells 😍 and my space leggings (which I’m going to bring back to Bilbao cos I forgot how much I love them). But I didn’t pack my trainers so I was left with my old ones until my Mum picks up my new ones tomorrow 🙈 #ew. I was sooooooo excited for today’s workout, I’d been looking forward to doing a 40 Min tabata! But my bloody Dad had the heating turned up to Sahara Desert temperature so I couldn’t get my heart rate too high no matter what 😩🙄 I tried working out in the living room, hallway, gym (we have a gym at home but it doesn’t have much floor space and I wanted plenty of space), but the whole house was SO HOT 🔥 I worked out for just over half an hour and burned 356 cals. That’s very low for me and compared to my usual workouts buuuuuut anything is better than nothing! I also did 15.7k steps today so that’s good. I did all muscle focused work rather than cardio which is beneficial ☺️ I’m having a day off tomorrow and I’m quite anxious because I’m going to be drinking beer at the match and I’m going for a chinese in the evening, but I’m trying not to worry!
