What do you notice as the main difference between these pictures? The weather? The outfit? My hair? My stomach and my hips? Do you know what the main difference really is? On the left I was obsessed with calorie counting. I was obsessed with weighing myself and the number on the scale. On the left I would have probably been happier to weigh 7 stone and look the same than weigh 9 and have abs. I thought the only way to look good was to eat nothing but salads or maybe nothing at all. I thought I'd have to run on a treadmill every single day for hours at a time. I thought my body was just made a certain way and it would be impossible to ever lose my love handles. Girls who had good bodies were just lucky to have the skinny gene. I didn't believe I would ever lose weight so I didn't bother trying to be remotely healthy. I'd sit at home binge eating sweets and chocolate and not exercise for months at a time. I'd start unsustainable diets and put myself through boring, time consuming workout programmes that I hated. I'd lose weight but I'd never be happy with how I looked because I always felt that I could do more. When my three week crash diet started to get too much, I'd give up and start another one 6 months later. I know how many of you have been through the same thing. I am telling you that you can break this cycle because I did. You can love exercise and you can eat healthily but love what you're eating. I rarely have salads and I regularly eat pasta. I go out for meals, I eat chocolate and pizza and I drink wine. Some weeks I don't make it to the gym because I want to chill at home instead. Stop listening to the stupid magazines that tell you to try the latest bullshit diet that involves starving yourself. Believe me when I tell you that being healthy and fit will not come from any diet. It comes from a mentality change and from the knowledge that being healthy doesn't involve cutting out any food group. Eat a balanced diet, do workouts you enjoy and have chocolate or wine if you bloody fancy it. This is so much healthier than any crash diet that encourages you to deprive yourself of something so fundamental to our health - food.

I had a tough night without a lot of sleep. And I can tell you that I 100% did NOT want to work out. . I sat on the couch chugging water and caffeine for HOURS trying to talk myself out of the need to workout. But as I encouraged someone in Bootcamp — who couldn’t decide between two workouts in our virtually gym — to pick the one she thought was harder, I decided to take my own advice. . You never regret a workout. The hardest part is getting started. . Day 13 ✅

When I started this journey, I believed that working out for under an hour would be a waste of time. I did not understand how short workouts could be effective. After many years of, trial and errors, developing my knowledge and understanding of the body and exercise, I am now aware that shorter workouts can be as equally as effective as longer workouts. If you find yourself short of time this festive season do not fear! Get your heart racing and endorphins flowing in minutes with HIIT workouts. I ensure you these intense workouts will leave you feeling extremely satisfied and sweaty ✨💦. Try this workout the next time your pushed for time: Start workout with a 5 minute warm up. This warm up can be completed on the treadmill (incline walk) or can consist of a variety of cardio moves: jumping jacks, in and outs, butt kicks, high knees. Once the warm ups completed put a 15 minutes timer on and complete each exercise below. No rests in between. 1️⃣ Medicine ball slam 20 rep 2️⃣ Lunge 30 rep (15 PS) 3️⃣ Kettlebell swing 20 rep 4️⃣ In and outs 30 rep 5️⃣ Squat and press 20 rep If you finish workout and still have time (and energy) left, repeat again. This workout can be completed at the gym or home, if you do not have the equipment used adapt workout to suit.

I’ve got a slightly quieter week than usual, so I’m going to focus on work plans for the NY, training plans & make the most of lots of classes myself before heading home 🏠! 🎄

{Part 1} If you have been following me awhile, you know that my pregnancy was a rough road. It was filled with infections, abdominal surgery, preterm labor, heart issues, broken ribs, and weekly tests & appointments. --- I had been on some sort of bed rest since surgery at 19 weeks and experiencing contractions since then. Last Sunday night (10th), I got home after indulging at a birthday party my family threw for me. Riley didn't attend because he was coming down with a cold. I was surprisingly feeling really good that and praying for a good night's rest for once. As I hopped into bed, I laid there just staring at the ceiling consumed with worry and anxiety about the next day. We had our appointment in the morning to finalize an induction date. I was terrified at the thought of being induced, yet wanted so much to be done with this pregnancy. After an hour, I was able to fall asleep. --- I rolled over at midnight and felt the "gush". What was that?! Did my water break? Was I peeing myself?! What is going on? I gathering myself and went to the bathroom. Sure as heck, my water broke. I was amazed to say the least. I woke up Riley, who was peacefully sleeping. He reached over, gave me the biggest hug, and said "Let's do this". We gathered our things and drove {in a snow storm} to the hospital.

So I’m currently in a car at the moment on the way home from a family get together, so I’m posting this delicious jacket potato that I made! 😍 I’m not going to lie, my diet has been horrendous today! I’ve had granola for brekkie, sushi + popcorn for lunch and I’ve snacked on a bag of crisps and a giant shortbread and jam cookie 🍪 but ya know what? When you literally don’t have the time to prepare something healthy, you’ve got to eat! So I don’t beat myself up if I’ve had a day living of junk food.
