Dave and i slipped away for a quick vacation over the weekend! First time leaving both of our girls 😬We went on our first cruise together, ate lots of food, caught up on sleep and had a great time! 💛it was VERY much needed. Last week was a bit crazy with traveling and right before we left our little Livy got pink eye so i couldn’t go to the gym. Well we went on our trip and when we came back both our girls are sick! Olivia has an ear infection and a bad cold. Evelyn has a cough and eczema and a diaper rash... reality came back with revenge!! 😬😅😩😭 nothing makes me more sad than seeing my girls sad. glad to be home to take care of my babies now. As far as my fitness journey, i wasn’t able to finish BBG week 9 fully last week and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish it this week with sick kiddos 🤷🏻‍♀️BUT I’m getting in what exercise i can. I am proud that i actually went to the gym on our cruise 👊🏼 life happens. We do our best and be proud of that!

Forgot my trainers so a back, chest & shoulder session went down tonight in trainer socks #noexcuses💪🏼 Save and give it a try...👇🏼 1️⃣ Assisted pull ups x8 3 sets 2️⃣ Incline front facing flyes x12 Dumbbell arnold press x15 3 supersets 3️⃣ Upright row with barbell x10 Front and side lateral raise x8 3 supersets 4️⃣ Wide lat pull downs x12 Dumbbell bench press x10 3 supersets 5️⃣ Cable rope face pulls x12 Standing DB’s around the world x6 3 supersets 6️⃣ I’m setting you a plank challenge - choose whatever your favourite type of plank is and hold until failure! My best attempt is 5 minutes, comment how long you managed to hold it for 🙌🏼

Let’s talk about endorphins for a minute... —— I used to think it was all just a made up thing, like “yeah right exercising can make you feel happier... yeah right making yourself work hard will change your mood... yeah right people actually work out for more than just getting abs or looking good...” (naive little jaycee 🙈) — But y’all it’s a true thing! 🙌🏼The endorphins you get from being active truly impact your emotional state! Working out has really proven to be something that helps me stay sane in the midst of such a chaotic time. 🙌🏼 — Don’t get me wrong, some days I literally have to force myself to do it... But I’ve never regretted a workout, it always makes me feel better! & Most days, it’s something I truly look forward to because hey, I’m addicted to those endorphins y’all!😂🙈🙌🏼 — Just a little #MondayMotivation for ya!💖 .

Today I start last week of bbg1.0 (second round)🙆‍♀️ I can't believe it! Time goes by so fast. Although I've had a busy morning I managed to squeeze #bbgweek12legs in coz just couldn't miss Monday workout and it's week12! 🎉 #nevermissamonday By the way, I've been taking care of my nutrition from last week and feel happy and proud coz I've stuck to my healthy plan for 7 days, no cheating #12weeksofhealthyeating Happy Monday😘

FRESH off a LIVE video 😛 Part of my job is to share my growth journey with other ladies in hopes of merely inspiring them to make a change in their life and go after whatever their passionate about. For myself and my team, virtual coaching was a huge part of that. Before I had started I was broke, broken and busy. Letting every relationship define me with a mentality that was suffocating. I was looking for something that was bigger than me. Something that I could dump all my passions into and find relief from the limits I set on myself. I now share that process with other women, knowing that if this business can work in my life the way it has, maybe it can be the change another girl needs too.

DAY 8 ✔️ . “Listen to your body” lol WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?! Right?🤷🏽‍♀️ . Like oh this is hard, I should quit. Or I don’t want to do that so I don’t have to. No, I’m content here. Except I want more. Lol what?! 🙈 . Anyone else feel the constant contradictions of listening to your body? If I’m being honest, this is effin hard. Recovering from an injury and listening to my body, not knowing if I’ve just lost a ton of strength or if I’m actually pushing it too much. 🤔 . It’s hard knowing, but only YOU know. Can’t tell my clients to keep going if something is truly wrong or injured. A big part of overcoming my foot surgery complications was listening to my body. Trying everything once or twice to see if it aggravated it. Because frankly if you don’t push yourself and try, you’ll never know and you’ll always stay the same 👏🏼

A slow morning does the soul good... — Staring at this little guys face as I soak up the word, imagining all he’ll be and all God has planned for him. ❤️. — I loveeee starting my day in the word, my bible reading plan is really keeping me accountable this year! 🙌🏼 — Hoping to stay committed to this morning routine this year, and not let my to do list get in the way! 🤞🏼 I’ve definitely already noticed a shift in my perspective every day as I lean into what God has to tell me: I feel more prepared for the day, more capable, more excited, more loved, just more everything. — Gonna linger with Jesus this morning before I get my workout and errands done! ☺️ — Have a great Monday friends!!

What breakfast is going to look like this week! Meal plan ✔️🤤 This combo was actually a product of mixing leftover dinner with some scrambled eggs and calling it good! I just cook up diced sweet potatoes, garlic, yellow peppers, and ground turkey in a skillet and season with red pepper flakes and have it as dinner! Then, the left overs get mixed with scrambled eggs and put into a whole wheat tortilla shell! I love spreading my meals as far as I can because it helps save time and money! Do you guys have any favorite dishes that serve as two meals!?

Hello morning #abs! Wait, what? You left me? Oh, no! Why, tho? Because I haven’t taken care of you, and because I have been eating like a pig? Oh, it’s ok! You will come back ) I promise you!! Yes, yes I haven’t forgotten what it takes to have you, and I know I will get you back 😉 . Jokes aside, it’s a bit difficult to maintain my 5 times a week workout routine on vacation. I had two resistance trainings last week, but the biggest struggle is food. Without meal prep I just can’t control what I eat and how much I eat. Also, I don’t go to bed as early as I should. But does it matter?!? Well, nooooo I am going to be just fineeee . Day One 👉🏻Day Eight . A week in and I am feeling “lighter” in so many ways, despite the fact that there aren’t any noticeable changes to the naked eye. . For so many years I obsessed over the number on the scale instead of feeling STRONG and confident. I wanted to go for a run and come back look in the mirror and feel and look leaner - my expectations were unrealistic and unfair to myself. Now, I look at these pictures and instead of being discouraged I feel PROUD because I know how hard I have worked to get HERE both mentally and physically. And you know what? I have so many NON-scale victories to be proud of from this past week/weekend - like not drinking alcohol despite being in situations I normally would cave, not eating the last of the peanut butter swirl ice cream last night even though normally I would justify it, and staying the course throughout the bloat from switching up my meal plan and increasing my workouts. 👊🏻 . It’s been a long journey to get HERE and this chapter has only just begun. So today I’m choosing to celebrate those NSV’s because they are BIGGER than the physical to me. My heart and my mind are more focused and committed then I ever have been, I’m surrounded by women who are in the fight with me, and that makes me feel unstoppable. 💪🏻☺️ .
