#yga day 3 easier variation..If you are not comfortable doing the wildthing pose here is a variation for you. 3 legged down dog, and if this is also too much, just do a regular down dog .The alignment for 3 legged down dog are the same as for down dog..Hands shoulder with apart..Legs hips width apart, heels pointing outwatds a bit..Shoulderblades open and shoulders are not scrunching up. .Back is our focus so keep it straight, and do not even think about straightening your legs if you can not keep your back streight. .Inhale and lift your leg up. Exhail, bend your knee and let your legg open your hips. . Try to keep your shoulders paralel with the front of the mat - TRY! #yga day 6 is tiger pose variation and we only have one more to go I love seeing all your beautiful poses .To start practicing this variation first you need to practice your balance kneeling. And if you need help in how to warm up your back and chest follow the link in my bio .Start with your hands directly underneath your shoulders, and knees underneath your hips. .Remember not to put too much weight on your wrists so keep your fingers widely apart and push down with your finger tips..Lift right leg and keep it parallel to the floor, there is no need to extend your back and lift your leg higher as balance is an activation of the abdominals and back extension is just the oposite of that. .Lift opposite hand (right leg, left hand), and look at the floor directly underneath you, so your neck is in line with the spine..Try to balance without wobbling around and falling.. How long can you hold it?.You are ready to put the opposite hand down and lift the same (right leg and right hand). #yga day 5 is for me the dreaded pose one legged king pigeon pose .I have a love hate relationship with this pose. I would love to do it fully one day, but I "hate" that it took me so long to even come here and I have seen yogis come far more that this in 6 months..So to be able to do it you need to have family opened hips, pretty opened back, chest and shoulders. .This is how I enter into it. Start in sleeping pigeon so I you open your hips even more..Lift the torso and rotate to the back leg grabbing it by the foot and pulling the heel towards your butt so you can stretch your thigh and hip flexors more..Now your back leg will want to move a bit and you may end up with your hip and knee being out off the line. Watch out for this and try to not let it happen..Grab your back foot from underneath and point the fingers towards you so you can rotate your elbow up.
