Last night's dinner was at Hana in Lahaina. They had an entire separate gluten free menu. So far Maui is really impressing me with GF and paleo options. My diet these days is still a limited paleo diet, but I've reintroduced a good amount of foods and that has helped to make eating out more doable. GF is a good start, but check out the hoards of tomatoes I didn't know would be all over this food! I picked those out and skipped the croutons (and pickles, because I hate pickles). I did try a white cheddar on my burger, which I could have happy gone without. I'd skip the cheese if I ate this again. But we ate outside with a sunset ocean view and it was fabulous. The servers were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Breakfast with a view! Bad picture, but I promise the view was magical. Check out the note on the menu: all pancakes are gluten free. What?! I was so happy! So today I ate chocolate strawberry pancakes (with a rice flour base) and a piece of bacon on the side. I think I'll hunt down a smoothie or açaí bowl for lunch. I definitely notice when my meals aren't very nutrient rich, and obviously these massive pancakes don't fit that category. This Saturday is the last farmers market of the season 😭😭 northsquarefarmersmarket I will miss you so! And will see you again in May! The local community coming together to bring local and fresh amazing goodies is what I live for! Remember friends, when it's available, buy local! Support your local farmer❤️ many farmers have winter CSA's where you can still get the goodies off season, so ask them about the programs they do so you can nourish your body all year round #nofarmsnofood ✌🏼

Haven't decided which way to make them but I'm keeping my eye out for a sale... They're adorable and have many benefits. . Artichokes are abundant in antioxidants, they provide fiber, help with digestion and can help liver function to remove toxins from your system - and those are just a few! . Stress eating snack: Stress eating is something that has deeper roots and deserves to be dealt with for your health and well being. That being said, it's a reality for many and overcoming that coping mechanism can take time. If you find yourself looking to stress eat, try an artichoke! Chewing and scraping the leaves can take the place of a bag of chips or another less healthy choice. . To prepare: clean and steam your artichoke then... -stuff with sausage, or a vegetable and cheese mixture -drizzle with olive oil, chopped garlic, parsley, salt and pepper -split open and crumble pork rinds with other seasoning (hot sauce, etc works too) and broil for crisp edges Enjoy your food!

As soon as I learned that a diet can have a significant effect on my well-being, I decided to give it a try 🤞🏻! Finding specific guidelines was very difficult - I found many opinions, contrary information etc. Some said they were eating, others were banning certain products. That is why, I have decided to introduce a cycle of 'YES ✅and NO❎' in which I will be indicating which: vegetables, fruits, meat, drinks, etc. I eat and which I avoid. P.S. Remember! Each of us is different - this is the list that I use, so consult it with your doctor.👩🏻‍⚕️ . Jak tylko dowiedziałam się, że dieta może mieć znaczący wpływ na moje samopoczucie postanowiłam spróbować🤞🏻! Znalezienie konkretnych wytycznych było bardzo ciężkie - spotkałam się z wieloma opiniami. Jedni mówili jeść, inni zakazywali. Postanowiłam wprowadzić cykl ‘TAK✅ i NIE❎’, w którym będę podawać, jakie warzywa, owoce, mięsa, napoje itp. jem, a jakich unikam. P.S. Pamiętajcie! Evening snackpot. My appetite has shrunk noticeably since starting work / mealprepping. I’m not sure if this is a good thing - or a result of being so much more sedentary all day 🙁 . Even with gym in the evenings, a veggie snackpot like this is enough to keep me sated until the next day - maybe topped up with some bone broth before bed. . Radishes: a new additional, in the quest for diversity. They make my mouth tingle. Is this normal? Does anyone else experience this?? Or is it just part of how they normally taste? 176 million women world wide are suffering with #endometriosis. That is greater than half the US population (estimated between 323-326 million). Reports estimate between 1 in 8 to 1 in 10 women are suffering with #endo. In the US there is an average of between 7-10 year delay from symptom onset to endometriosis diagnosis 😨. Women have taken their own lives due to the severe and chronic nature of endometriosis pain + complications. I am acutely aware of how personal #womenshealth issues are. If you told me a year ago that I would be posting on social media related to these topics I never would have believed you. Over the last year I have noted the desparity of medical literature and personal accounts related to endometriosis despite the extensive number of women impacted by this disease. At times this journey has been isolating. I don't want other women to feel that way. Please share in comments if you or someone you know has been impacted by endometriosis. 📸Thanks to sweet acrawford005 for having a lovely hitching ceremony three weeks after my surgery. Gave me a goal to perservere for ❤
