Rise and shine ☀️ Day 4 of my New Years detox and I’m feeling good! I started my New Years Detox today and made this Asian grain dish called Congee. I first experienced this soup during my detox weekend last year and wasn’t a huge fan. Of course I wanted to give it another try because it places very little demand on the digestive system, allowing the body to absorb maximum nutrition which is essential during a detox. For this one I used organic brown rice and packed it full of liver detoxifying foods: dandelion greens, lemon, artichokes, parsley, & kale. These veggies are also alkalizing to the body. I added carrots, onions, celery and garlic for added flavor.
