I sat just watching these local youngsters having a good ol splash of a time along the coast of Stone Town in Zanzibar. Just loved how innocent it all looked and really enjoyed seeing people appreciate the little pleasures in life with a simple sunset swim ❤️🌊

Following Donald Trump‘s disturbing decision to allow hunters to bring “trophy” elephants into the U.S., Ellen stood up for the majestic creatures and called on viewers to help her raise awareness for the cause using social media. Repost or retweet from theellenshow using #BeKindToElephants and for everyone who does so she’ll make a donation to #thedavidsheldrickwildlifetrust. 🙏🏻🐘❤️. #ellendegeneresisawesome #savetheelephants #racingextinction

As long as we continue to live as if we are what we do, what we have, and what other people think about us, we will remain filled with judgments, opinions, evaluations, and condemnations. We will remain addicted to putting people and things in their "right" place. - Henri Nouwen⠀ •⠀ {Musanze, Rwanda}

Jackal / A black-backed jackal in Etosha. Jackals are a common sight in this national park and will often be seen hunting doves from the waterhole. The black-backed jackals are larger than their side-striped cousins, but are often driven out of their territory by the smaller jackal species. #jackal #blackbackedjackal #africanwildlife #africanwildlife #africansafari #wildlifephotography #wildlifephotographer #africanamazing #conservation #marvelouz_animals #ig_discover_wildlife #ig_africa #unlimitedafrica #loves_africa #exclusive_wildlife #wildlife_perfection #wildlifeaddicts #thewildlifebiologist #wildlifeplanet #wildplanet #namibia #africanwildlifephotography #exploreafrica #photosafari #wildlifephoto #splendid_animals #gamedrive #amazingwildlife #etoshanationalpark #etoshaexplorer

It was a life-humbling experience spending two weeks in Oyugis, Western Kenya as a volunteer teacher at Happy Home. Run by Pastor Nick and his wife Dorcus since 2003, Happy Home has touched the lives of the local children and community with their enduring ❤️ and efforts to create hope and happiness for the less fortunate. . The school is currently operating on the income from Pastor Nick and Dorcuus' day jobs which has made it challenging to build better facilities and expand. Yet, it has never deterred them from sharing what they have to enable the vulnerable and less fortunate. My two-week stay flew by teaching children in classes ranging from nursery to Standard 4. After school hours, I would take walks, go to Oyugis town with Dorcus for grocery shopping, read leisurely or help out in the kitchen. I learnt many new skills drawing water from the well, milking cows, herding sheep and cooking over firewood 🔥. Growing up in a developed country, these were invaluably rare experiences. . During my stay, I was very well taken care of and became a member of the family. I know that I have a happy home when I am in Kenya and look forward to going back soon ❤️🇰🇪 tribexplorers . #kenya #travelafrica #solotraveler #livelikealocal #traveldeeper #roadlesstravelled

Did you know... 1) Elephants have greeting ceremonies when a friend that has been away for some time returns to the group 2) Elephants are social creatures. They sometimes hug by wrapping their trunks together in displays of greeting and affection 3) Elephants cry, play, have incredible memories , and laugh • Elephants are incredible creatures, it is not okay to hunt them, to bring them back as trophies. This presidency lacks all compassion and kindness. We should not allow Elephant trophies in this country. • theellenshow is making a donation to dswt for every repost of this picture with the hashtag #bekindtoelephants • My girl rescueinstyle wrote a beautiful blog post today about other ways you can do your part to fight this injustice.
