It’s Martin Luther King Day in the States so no better time to remember the juggernaut that was Coretta Scott King. Bernice King, MLK’s daughter, tweeted this: “ As you honor my father today, please remember and honor my mother as well. She was the architect of the King Legacy and founder of thekingcenter, which she founded two months after Daddy died. Without #CorettaScottKing, there would be no #MLKDay.” 📷 = Pix Inc/The Life Picture Collection/Getty Images

So you might remember her from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air but #KarynParsons has been very busy since then as a #socialentrepeneur founding her #creativenonprofit Sweet Blackberry where she is using #storytelling to shape culture, community & children’s understanding of themselves. Head over to our Facebook page for the full article on forbes. It’s a pretty dope article! #WCW #sistahsinbusiness #sibexpo

Welcome, beautiful people! My name is Esther and I have created this page to talk about and appreciate natural hair. I’m very excited about this because wearing my natural hair has changed the way I see myself and has given me an immense confidence boost. The Natural Hair Movement has progressed so much in 2017, and I want it to continue because I’ve seen increasing amounts of black women embracing their natural beauty. In my mind, this is an incredible source of mental strength. I often meet black people who say that they don’t wear their natural hair because they “don’t have time for it” or because they don’t know what to do or which products to use. There isn’t any one right way to be natural - - it is simply a matter of being your whole self, and taking time to get to know who you really are. So, I hope that I will be of some help to those of you who may be considering embarking on the natural journey, and those of you who already have. It really is a journey, and it is entirely worthwhile. Feel free to send me DMs if you have any questions or if there are products you would like to see reviewed! Stay tuned for some quality content coming your way. <3, E #naturalhair #naturalhairmovement #teamnaturalhair #kinkycoilycurly #selflove #hairlove #blackhair #blackgirlmagic #queensputtinginwork #naturalbabe #frolife #lovethyfro #celebratingnaturalhair #celebratingblackwomen #buyblackowned #allnatural
